Very little. This website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. The only thing it collects is what you type into the waitlist form.

Who we are

Artatura Labs Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria and based in the F.C.T., makes Shawm and runs this website. We decide what happens to the information below. Write to hello@artatura.com about anything on this page.

The waitlist

When you join the waitlist we keep your email address, the choices you make in the form (whether you’re on a Mac, Windows or Linux, and what you’re interested in), when you signed up and the page you signed up from. We use it for one thing: to email you about Shawm’s launch and beta, and, if you said so, a Windows or Linux version or the API. We don’t sell it, share it for anyone else’s marketing, or add you to anything you didn’t ask for.

You’re only on the list once you click the link in the confirmation email we send. If you don’t, you won’t hear from us again. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect at once.

Who handles it for us

The list is kept by Kit (kit.com), the email service that stores the addresses and sends our emails, under its own privacy and security commitments. Kit is based in the United States, so your details are stored there. The company that hosts this website keeps routine server logs, as every web host does. Your IP address is used briefly to stop repeated sign-ups from the same place; we don’t store it.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we stop sending these emails, whichever comes first.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent at any time, by unsubscribing or by writing to hello@artatura.com. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or to the data protection authority where you live.
